It is with a sense of sadness and deep loss that we at FACES share the passing of a founding board member, Howard Beckman, MD.
Howard had an incredible career as a physician in research, teaching and patient practice. In 1970 he enrolled at Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit. He joined the Norman Bethune Collective and was committed to accessible and equitable health care. Howard cared deeply about people and knew that centering patients should be at the heart of delivering quality health care.
Beyond his career he enjoyed spending time with family, outdoor activities, cooking and Sunday Dinners.
Howard will be missed by many.
