New Board Members

Sara H. Mirza MD MS FCCP
Clinical Associate Professor Medical Director, Respiratory Care (Adult)
Medical Director, Assisted Ventilation Clinic (AVC)
Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine

In her past position at Rush, Sara was Assistant Professor Pulmonary and Critical Care and Medical Director Respiratory Care services at Rush University. She was also Medical Director for Malcolm X College Respiratory Care program. Currently, she is on the board for NBRC and on writing committee Clin Sim and ACCS.

Joe Army
Vapotherm President, Chief Executive Officer

Joe has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors of Vapotherm since June 2012. Prior to joining Vapotherm, Mr. Army served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Salient Surgical Technologies, Inc. He first joined Salient in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Salient, he held various positions including Vice President of Finance & Supply Chain Operations for Westaim Biomedical from 1998 to 1999 and strategy consultant for Coopers & Lybrand LLP from 1991 to 1997. Mr. Army holds an MBD in finance from The Wharton School and a BA in history from the University of Rhode Island. He is certified in production and inventory management and is a certified public accountant (inactive status).
